Tracey Shadbolt
Trusted for a detail-oriented approach, clear communication, and sound legal judgment.
Ground up experience.
I traded one Bay for another — moving from the Bay of Plenty to Hawke's Bay in 2014.
My path to practising law wasn't typical. I left school and started as an Office Junior, worked my way up to Legal Executive, then took the leap into law school. I graduated with a Bachelor of Laws in 2017 and have been practising at Carlile Dowling since.
That journey from the ground up means I understand how a law firm works at every level. It also means I don't take anything for granted when explaining processes to clients.
Practice
My work focuses on property in all its forms — from straightforward residential transactions to more complex matters involving relationship property.
I handle conveyancing (sales and purchases), wills, enduring powers of attorney, estates, occupation right agreements and licences to occupy, and relationship property agreements and disputes.
Outside Work
I'm often found at the sideline of my children's sporting activities — having been "voluntold" into managing, coaching, and chaperoning over the years. I'm also on the Board of Managers at St Columbas Church in Taradale.
